Vicki & David – part one

On Saturday I photographed the first wedding of 2011. It feels incredible being back out with the camera again and I absolutely loved playing a part in Vicki & David’s special day. Vicki and David are both in the army so be prepared for some dashing sergeants in part 2 (oh yeah). As soon as I set foot in Vicki & David’s flat my heart leaped – the beautiful Bride was wearing my fave ban. do headpiece and the dress, oh my the dress that was hanging there was just to die for. Vicki told me that the dress was her ‘something borrowed’ as she borrowed it from her boss (a woman) after not being able to find what she was looking for in the bridal shops. Wowzer! The atmosphere in the flat was also totally buzzing. Vicki’s lovely friends were at hand serving up a yummy breakfast, keeping Vicki’s champagne glass filled up and advising on make-up. We then all drove to the venue, the amazing Loch Lomond Youth Hostel and Vicki quickly got changed into her wedding dress in the generously sized toilet (he he he – no joke).
