Getting ready photos – Yes or No?

One question that I think many Brides ask themselves is, should they have some photographs of getting ready on their wedding day. Many worry that in the morning, during the bridal preparations, they will be a nervous wreck and the last thing they’d want is for it to be captured on camera.I believe though that the getting ready photographs are a really important element to the reportage style of photography. It’s probably one of my favourite parts of a wedding day. The excitement that’s in the air is just wonderful. The look on the Bridesmaids and Mums face when they Bride is in her dress. The laughter and fun before the wedding starts. The little details. The champagne.
When you decide to have your photographer for the whole day you end up with a full documentation of the happiest day of your life. You look back at the photos in years to come and you remember the whole day from start to finish and that is priceless!
