I know I’ve already done two posts today but I just had to share this quote with you which EVERYONE planning their wedding or already married should most definitely read and never forget. I felt that it just sums up the whole ‘wedding malarkey’ as I like to call it
I came across it on Seeds & Stitches – a brilliant wee blog – go check it out!
“The most important part of the day is about making this insane (and it is insane) lifelong commitment to each other, of declaring your love to each other amongst the support and love of your family and friends around you. And having a good party. The other stuff, the details are secondary. Not unimportant, especially if you are a creative person, but secondary. And marriage rocks. It is incredible. But it isn’t easy. However, if you are both willing to look at yourselves in the mirror sometimes and say ‘I’m being a stubborn twat’ (really, very important), and if you’re both willing to compromise and talk it out, really talk, about everything, then in my experience the best is yet to come.”
so don’t forget me dearies, THE BEST is still to come!

Josie - So true! It’s so so easy to get caught up in all the seemingly important details.
Someone gave me some good advice once (can’t remember who it was)! They said you should only worry about things that are going to be important in 5, 10, 20 years time. They’re the things that count. You can pretty much apply this to all areas of life. And much as I love all the pretty details of weddings, they will definitely not seem that important in 10 years. The best is yet to come. I like that.
