FAQ

Q: If our date is available, what is the next step?

If your wedding date is available the next step is to arrange an informal meeting either in the comfort of your own home, my studio on the South Side of Glasgow (Mon- Fri between 10am and 1pm by appointment only) or another location of your choice. At the meeting you are able to view album samples and tell me all about your wedding plans.

Q: I don’t live in Scotland and won’t be able to come and meet you before the wedding, is that a problem?

That is no problem at all. I have clients from all over the world and emails, phone calls or a meeting on Skype are a great alternative.

Q: If we decide to go ahead with booking you as our wedding photographer, how do we secure our wedding date?

Should you wish to book CandySnaps as your wedding photographer, you will be required to fill in a contract and pay a deposit of 50% of your chosen package price or £500, whichever is the smaller amount.

Q: What happens if another couple is interested to book you for the same date as our wedding and we haven’t made up our mind yet?

In this case, I will contact you immediately (I operate on a first come, first served basis) to avoid you loosing out, but I would then need a quick decision as I can’t reserve your date!

Q: What methods of payment do you accept?

I accept cheques, cash, bank transfers and should you wish to pay with credit card you can do so via Paypal.

Q: When is the outstanding amount due?

The outstanding amount is due two weeks before your wedding and I will send you a reminder a few weeks prior to the date. If you pay with cheque, please allow enough time for it to be cleared by this date.

Q: If our wedding is at a venue that you haven’t been to before, will you visit the venue before the wedding?

It isn’t really necessary for me to visit the venue prior to your wedding – on the day I will arrive a bit early and have a look around. In my opinion it’s nice to be at a venue that I haven’t been to before, as I see things with fresh eyes.

Q: We are getting married during the week (Mon.-Thur.) but would like a half or full day package instead of the midweek packages. Is this possible?

Yes. The weekend packages are also available during the week and you will receive 5% off any half day and 10% off any full day package during weekdays.

Q: If on the wedding day things run a bit late or if we decide that we would like you to stay for the dancing, but have only paid for a half-day, is it possible for you to stay longer?

Yes, not a problem. I only ever photograph one wedding a day. If you would like me to stay longer you either just pay for an extra hour, at the additional cost of £100, or you can just upgrade to any of the full day packages.

Q: Do you take group shots or a few photographs of the bride and groom and how long will this take?

It’s completely up to you. I tend to nearly always take a few group shots of the wedding party (approx. up to 10 different variations), unless my clients specify that they don’t want any group photographs. If you decide to have group photos taken, please provide me with a list before the wedding day. The group photographs usually take no longer than 20-25 minutes, with minimal posing of you and your family – so you can get back to your guests quickly and enjoy yourselves!

Q: How long after the wedding will we be able to view our wedding photographs?

Approximately within a week after your wedding your private online gallery will be up and running and you can then view your photos online. If you are off on your honeymoon straight after the wedding I will give you the link to your gallery so in case that you have access to a computer you can view the photos while you’re away!

Q: Can our friends and families purchase photos of our wedding?

Yes they can. Your private online gallery includes a print ordering service. Checkout is via Paypal and your family and friends can expect to receive their order within 14 days. The print ordering service runs for 14 weeks after your wedding.

Q: Can we have a mixture of b/w, sepia and colour photographs in our album?

Yes you can. You choose the photographs for your album and all the photographs can be converted into b/w, sepia or colour.

Q: If we would like more photos in the album than we paid for, can we pay for more after the wedding?

Yes, you can just pay for the extra prints and I make up the album with as many photos as you like.

Q: Do you provide us with a disc of all the photographs?

A disc with high-resolution print ready files is available to purchase at a cost of £250. The price includes full copyright! If you would like to have a disc instead of a wedding album, the package price remains the same!

Q: I have a colour theme at my wedding is it possible for my wedding album to match that?

Yes, totally! The CandySnaps Wedding albums are unique in that they come in an array of colours and patterns and are handmade to your specifications. If you have a particular colour in mind that is not on the sample sheet, just let me know and the bookbinder can source the colour for you.

Q: Do you also do story book albums?

Yes I do, but they come at an additional cost. Starting at an extra £100.
