Can’t wait to photograph her big day next year… But while munching away and browsing through my wedding archives, I remembered the wedding of the gorgeous Susie and Leo in Stranraer and our German connection. Susie had been working in Germany for a few years, in Schwaebisch Hall believe it or not, which is not far from the little village of Ellenberg where I’m from. Susie even speaks German with a southern accent. Absolutely brilliant! They had such a great wedding. The sun was shining and the location, a manor house garden was absolutely beautiful. When Leo proposed though it was winter and they were on a skiing holiday. On the third day, they were on the ski lift, when Susie looked down and someone had written: ‘SUSIE WILL YOU MARRY ME’ in the snow in big fat letters. Susie turned to Leo and said: ‘That lucky girl has the same name as me…’

Maybe not quite the reaction he’d expected, but the important thing is, she said yes.
